The essentials
Good to know
How do I get here?
From Schiphol, hop on bus 397 and ride it to the last stop, Elandsgracht — we're a 5-minute walk from there.
From Central Station, take tram 2 or 12 to Leidseplein; again, just a 5-minute walk to our door.
Check-in & check-out
Check-in runs from 2pm to 11pm. Arriving after 11pm? Get in touch and we'll set you up with a self check-in.
Early check-in is often doable — we always try to have your room ready as soon as we can, so let us know your arrival time; it helps us out.
Check-out is by 11am. Late check-out isn't standard — though some of our deals include one.
Can I store my bags?
Yep — leave your bags with us before check-in or after check-out, no problem. We'll keep 'em safe.
Is there an elevator?
Nope — just some proper Amsterdam stairs. The building has 4 floors and we can't guarantee which one your room lands on, but our crew is always happy to haul your bags up or down. Just ask.
Where can I park?
We don't have our own parking, and the spots right in front of the hotel belong to the police — never park there.
Nearby there's the Q-Park, where we've got special Backstage Hotel rates — see the info and rates here. A cheaper option is one of the city's Park + Rides — rates and info here.
Do you serve breakfast?
We do — a continental breakfast served daily from 8:30 to 10:30. Book it ahead of time or just sort it at reception when you arrive.
Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available; any other dietary wishes, let us know.
What's the cancellation policy?
Standard rate (individual bookings): free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in (2pm Amsterdam time). Within 48 hours, or a no-show, is charged at 100% of the room price.
Groups (3 rooms or more): more than 3 weeks before arrival — €25; 21–8 days before — 50%; 7–0 days before — 100%.
Non-refundable rate: any cancellation, or a no-show, is charged at 100% of the room price.
Is there air conditioning?
No AC — but every room has a table fan for the warmer days, plus central heating to keep you cosy when it's cold.
How much does a room cost?
Depends on the room, the season and how far ahead you book — nights genuinely range from around €70 in the quiet months to €350 at the peak of summer.
Booking direct always gets you our lowest rate, and the earlier you book, the bigger the discount on non-refundable rates. Check the live prices in the booking engine, or have a look at our current deals.
Can kids stay at the hotel?
Absolutely — rock stars come in all sizes. Our triple, quadruple and family rooms fit the whole band.
Infants under 3 stay free of charge, and a baby cot is available on request.
Is the hotel noisy at night?
We're a corner building just off Leidseplein, Amsterdam's nightlife square — every room faces the street, and there's life out there, especially on weekends. It's part of the charm, but light sleepers can grab free earplugs at reception.
Is there WiFi?
Fast, free WiFi throughout the whole building — streaming, uploading, video calls, all good.
What's the deal with the record players?
Book directly with us and you can reserve a record player and a stack of vinyl for your room — free of charge. First come, first served, but there's usually enough to go around. Drop us a message after booking and we'll set one aside.
Do you have a bar?
We do — our bar doubles as the living room of the hotel, complete with pool table. Open daily from after breakfast until 23:00, for guests and their plus-ones.
Can I book for a band, crew or group?
Yes — groups of three rooms or more get personal rates. Tell us your dates and what you need via the contact form, and we'll put together an offer just for you.
How do I pay, and is city tax included?
We take all forms of payment. And when you book direct, Amsterdam's 12.5% city tax is always included in the price shown in the booking engine — no surprises at the desk.
Are pets allowed?
Sadly not — pets have to sit this tour out. The only animals we allow are party animals.
Can I smoke at the hotel?
Nope — the whole building is non-smoking.
